Do you want to increase your intuition and inner knowing?

Everybody is born with intuitive gifts. For many people, these are shut down or become dormant during our lives. Sometimes we shut them down at a young age, due to fear, or lack of understanding of what is happening. Often we can be so out of our bodies, we lose our connection to our inner knowing. Our diet also has an impact on our intuition and inner guidance.

There are a number of ways that information and knowledge can come through:

  • Clairaudience – to perceive voices, sounds, words from the spirit world, like Guardian Angels and guides.
  • Clairvoyance – to see with extrasensory perception
  • Claircognisance –  a clear knowing without supporting knowledge or logic or reason
  • Clairsentienceclear feeling about past, present and future.

We each tend to have a stronger natural affinity for one of these, but all can be developed and strengthened.

Our abilities can sometimes spontaneously awaken or emerge – an example is that of Edgar Cayce, who was a well known mystic with powerful psychic abilities, who, among other things would channel information while in a trance state. Many credit him with being the father of holistic medicine, and somebody who opened the door of possibility for what is now becoming commonly accepted spiritual practice.

Sometimes these abilities can be triggered and awakened by a traumatic event. With the ThetaHealing® Basic and Advanced courses, these abilities can be safely opened or awakened, trained, developed and harnessed to help yourself and loved ones.

For most of people, it takes a bit more work and practice to open up these abilities. However, everybody can do it. We all have the capability and potential within us.

How to reawaken these gifts

Some ways to do so include:

Heart Centred Healing - How To Increase Your Intuitive Gifts To Heal Yourself

1: Grounding and Opening Your Heart

Being grounded is very important – grounding our energy not only into the earth, but into our bodies. Many people are not fully inhabiting their bodies, and therefore have lost touch with their senses (physical, intuitive, emotional).

In today’s fast paced age of technology, we can often spend most of our day on the phone, on our computers, or watching TV – being in our heads, and not our bodies. Stepping away from technology for a while, connecting with nature and feeling the earth through our bare feet is an important practice to do regularly. Ensure you take some time for yourself every day, away from the demands of your to-do lists. Move your body – dance, walk, work out – whatever you enjoy doing.
Start noticing what your 5 primary senses are telling you – what do you see, hear, feel, taste, smell? Pay attention to what your body tells you at different times. Do you feel uncomfortable when making a decision? Perhaps you get a sense or hear a voice telling you not to do something. Pay attention to your gut feelings, your intuitive hunches. This can help you to raise your sensitivity to your 6th sense.

Your heart is connected to your intuition, and when you honour it and allow it to open and expand, your intuition is more able to flourish and flow.

What do you love doing? Spend more time doing it. If you love creating things, gift yourself the time to do so. Make time to enjoy the company of those you love.

2: Meditating

Being present. One of the most effective ways of become present is by meditating. Meditating opens the door to greater understanding, and as the monkey mind chatter stills, allows information, guidance and knowledge to flow to us. Intuition lives in the present moment.

Edgar Cayce believed meditation to be listening to God, becoming more attuned to our spiritual source, and used it to become clearer and more connected to his intuitive knowing.

In addition to opening up and increasing your intuition – meditation can have phenomenal results on improving health and wellbeing.

A Harvard study was conducted in which a group of monks in a monastery in northern India sat quietly in a room where the temperature was a chilly 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Using a yoga technique known as g Tum-mo, they entered a state of deep meditation. Other monks soaked 3-by-6-foot sheets in cold water (49 degrees) and placed them over the meditators’ shoulders, which for most people could eventually result in death. But it was not long before steam began rising from the sheets. As a result of body heat produced by the monks during meditation, the sheets dried in about an hour. ……….. http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/2002/04.18/09-tummo.html

Notice what comes to you as you meditate. Listen to that small still voice within. That feeling or flash of inspiration. Pay attention to the feelings, thoughts, colours, smells, images, sounds you hear within.

3: Opening your Pineal Gland – Third Eye

To fully access your intuitive abilities, it is important to open your pineal gland, also known as your 3rd eye.

Over time, our pineal glands become calcified, which clogs them up. Calcification is an issue that occurs for everybody, but it’s increased in individuals that eat a poor diet. Overexposure to such things as fluoride and phosphor us destabilises your body’s mineral balance and causes your pineal gland to calcify quickly.

To decalcify your pineal gland, it is important to eliminate junk food and limit your exposure to fluoride (which can be found in many supermarket toothpastes, commercially grown fruit and vegetables which are sprayed with pesticides, processed foods, and even tap water).
For best pineal gland health, and to assist in its decalcification, you need to eat enough raw, healthy organic food, drink filtered or distilled water and avoid soda type drinks containing aspartame, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine and refined sugar.
Some foods that can assist to reverse the calcification process include:

  • Chlorella
  • Iodine
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Beets / Beets juice
  • Wheatgerm
  • Pineapple juice
  • Olive Oil

The following herbs can be drunk as tea:

  • Wood Betony
  • Gotu Kola
  • Parsley
  • Alfalfa
  • Mugwort
  • Ginkgo Leaf (Ginko Bilboba)

Signs of a clogged or calcified pineal gland include an impaired perception of reality, a tendency to over-analyse, depression and anxiety, paranoia, neurological disorders, pessimism, jealousy and envy.

Opening your pineal gland can help to clear the above, and also increase lucidity in dreams, bring about clearer psychic visions, increase telepathic ability, clear confusion and delusions.

4: Belief and Practice

Believing you can do it. Everybody has the innate ability to awaken their intuitive gifts. One simple way to prove this to yourself and to heighten your intuition is to notice the insights and guidance that comes to you. Start a practice of writing down any spontaneous ideas that come to you throughout the day that you feel were inspired by your intuition. Set the intention for this to happen. The more you allow for this to happen, the more intuitive hits will come through.

As will all things, the more you do it the better you will get at doing it. Every has intuitive abilities. The more you acknowledge, trust and follow them, the stronger they will become. Attending a class is one of the best ways to develop this ability.

Increasing your intuition can have widespread effects in your life and the lives of others.

Being able to see events before they happen can help to guide you and others to change the course of history. A famous example of somebody who had this ability was Nostradamus – a world renowned 16th century prophet who wrote collections of predictions, who has been credited with predicting some major world events, which could have been averted had people paid more attention.

On a more personal level, opening your intuition further can assist you to deepen your connection with others, help you to be more alert and present, more enthusiastic about life, and make decisions that will best serve your life. You will become more in touch with your feelings, emotions, body and heart’s desires, and live a life of greater flow, happiness and ease, as well as physical, mental and emotional health.
